    My Jesuel,
I know that this work is different than what I usually do, but, this was for Halloween. Thank you for your so kind review of this piece.

Great piece. I was sooo wondering why this beautiful lady had a frog on her shoulder. Very interesting and rewarding piece for you. Great job.

Dear fellow blonde and crazy woman,
I am so glad that you took the time to know what this work was all about.

I can see the magic inside the woman's face. The transparency effect is applied nicely to the overlaps along the edges and across the canvas. Also I can feel the reality and the movements going beneath the outer blending layer.

    Dear Tucker,
Thank you for your kind review. The technique of the paper was achieved by ripping the work up and crumpling the paper, and throwing the whole thing into the trash...giving the whole thing a second thought, rescuing it from the trash, ironing it out, and taping it back together again. I am ashamed, but the effect seemed to add to the picture. I guess the saying, "All's well that ends well" applies to this. You were so kind to review my work and to write a comment.

Again, your talent is amazing. To me, your drawings are the closest thing to a photograph. The details and soft shading of your work are amazing. The hair looks real and the eyes are perfect. Love the texture here and I must say, she is a beautiful witch!

    Dearest Dog,
I wanted to give the Halloween theme, for the contest, a new look. Something that would show the darkside, but with a touch of beauty. I am so thankful that you liked the effect. Your review was spectacular, and touched me deeply,

    Dear Diamondeyes,
You have reviewed another drawing of mine. You are making me blush, with such kind words. This is my entry to the Halloween contest. Wish me luck,

Well, I think I am out of the competition! LOL This is the winner in my book! She is so beutiful, warts and all! I really thought this was a mixed media photograph! But was very surprised to see it wa a pencil drawing! I love your wrinkled paper effet! adds age dimension to the face without taking away her beauty! Very nice work!

    Dear Dream,
Art is so spiritual, don't you think. What the mind can imagine, the hand can make. I wanted to have an entry to the Halloween contest that approached the theme in a dramatic way, but be a bit different than the normal pictures one usually sees. A witch, ofcourse, but a new witch. How could I achieve the feel of Halloween with a beautiful witch. Got to give the nose the warts, and the frog might pull the whole thing together. I hope it works. Bless you for your wonderful review. Good luck with your entry. I know it must be spectacular.

Well I'm happy to see another of your marvellous drawings here, Linda! I love the crinkled appearance you've developed in the paper, and both the frog and the witch are perfectly rendered. I think this is a great metaphore for seeing beauty 'within'...as both of these characters are flawed, yet they love regardless! Well done!

Again, you are so generous with your praise. The wrinkled effect was achieved by my temper. I was so frustrated with this drawing, I tore it in two, crumpled it up and threw it into the trash. I actually fished it out of the trash, ironed it, and taped it back together. I am ashamed, but this is sometimes how we discover things that might add to what we are doing. Thank you for overlooking the flaws, and giving me such a wonderful rating,

Beautiful picture. The faded and antique look of the picture adds to the allure. Beautiful detail in the eyes and of course love the frog next to her

    Dearest Stick,
You are a great reviewer. I can see the flaw, and it is driving me mad. I have got to work a bit more. Your honesty is so appreciated. The flaw, that I see, is on the right side of the face. I am going to see what I can do. Although I have already sprayed a fixative on it. Keep up the good work that you are posting. How do you post so many. It takes me atleast a month to finish a project. Oh, I get so frustrated.
