This is a nice shot Low, not quite the 5'er for me. The composition is there and the focus is decent for the focal length of the lens, somewhat soft. The earth tones of the leaves is quite nice but the image seems to be a bit flat in the color. A boost in contrast and a click or so to darken might have a bigger impact for me. I do like the capture of the snow falling, a nice touch. Nice job!!!

No pressure reviewing one of yours, is there? :) I think it's a nice shot. The deer cooperated (or you stood there in the snow and frooze until you got a pose - I bit you clucked a bit to get it to look at you with the ears perked). The chest and forelegs seem soft somehow, but the snow on the back is crisp. A little movement by the deer perhaps? Snow fuzziness for sure. Stream of consciousness reviewing - new art form. Sorry. The tree in the background gives a nice compositional element and a good color irrror for the grays in the deer as does the dead foliage on the right to accent the brown. The whole image is so nicely muted that it conveys the softness of the vision through snow. Can't see anything to really carp about nor do I see any major improvements. (It doesn't quite have a "wow" factor about it to my subjective eye - even though I like it.)

Very nice shot of the deer. I like the way you have captured it looking straight at you . The background is good as well. Almost like the coloring of a fawn. Thanks for sharing.

You have done well to capture this deer in such a pose. He looks relaxed and calm, almost posing for you. Unfortunately I think you have adjusted the contrast too high, which is making the eyes and ears ¨´glow´´

No glowing here nor mentioned prior, the spark in the eyes is called 'catch-light' which is imperative to capture photographing any thing with eyes. Thank you very much for your review and your time!

From you front porch WOW. This is a great image with the snow that shows up on the deer. Getting her standing looking right at the camera makes a great photo. This should be in a wild life magazine.

Really good shot Low. I like the muted colors of the shot as they really convey what the West is about in my opinion. The framing of the doe is outstanding and you have captured her with remarkable clarity given the weather conditions. I like the snow blurring in areas as it gives an otherwise static scene a feeling of movement and life. Good job!

What a great image. This is one of the better and certainly most interesting deer photos that I've seen on here. The snowy background with the golden shaded folage really makes the deer stand out but still accentuate his/her natural camouflage. And the composition is fantastic as well. Just a wonderful capture.

Great shot of a doe standing in the blowing snow near your yard. I can tell by the snow on her back she had been standing a while. Also her natural camoflauge against her natural environment is evident. Great shot. Initial impact, technical excellence, lighting, storytelling, and creativity of presentation are excellent. Thanks for sharing your work.
