I love nature and of course animals. What a great capture. I just fell that some sharpening on the animals face would have brought out more contrast and enable us to see his/her expression more. I can hardly believe this is from your front porch. It is such an unusual site for us on long island, NY. Shows a lot of talent and I know how hard it is to capture wild life. Congratulations and thank you for sharing this with us.

Excellent shot, with high initial impact, great focus and lighting. Great composition and interest. It looks as if it is wanting feeding, or maybe just keeping an eye on that pesky photographer! Top job.

LOL! Yes, the pesky photographer! I don't bug them very often because I want them to keep visiting. Oddly she seemed to enjoy the human with the thing on her face! Thank you so much Tercyn for this super review, I appreciate your time!

Very nice shot Glad you got it . She looks nice and fat. The colors in the doe match with the wilderness . Easy to see how you can miss them in the woods. Nice clear shot she sees you and stayed there to let you get the shot.Thank you for sharing!!!

Very nice composition, the blurring snow really exposes the coldness of the day. Excellent focus in this scene that has it's challenging factors. It would be interesting to see this in a fast ss as well, but it might also be too dark for that. I like the pose, lucky you to catch her looking towards you. Seems everytime I try to shoot these animals, they have there nose buried in the ground looking for chow. Colors and light are well controlled.

Yep, she was looking right at me, thanks to my squeaky front door--I refuse to put WD40 on it cause it always gets the deer's attention and they get used to it and not get spooked. Now I can sit on my front porch and enjoy them. I seldom bother them with my camera. Thank you very much smokie for your super review and your time!!

What a great shot of a great animal. Your focus and composition is very good. I like the way the snow is on the deers back. It looks like a pose. Great job.

This doe has been captured well. The frost on her back with the balance of frost below is a good composition. Her ears are upright and she's attentive..all great focal point. The Darks in the back balance her stomach and neck hues. the muted brush and frost makes a very interesting photo!
Way to Go! Lovely design. Snow makes for great quiet areas...CooooL!!

Great photograph of this curious deer. Love the snow that has fallen on his head and his back. He looks like he's posing for you!
