I don?t know why I feel melancholy from this image. It may be from the mode of passing autumn. His life becomes harder as winter deepened; it may be provoking my feel of reluctance toward coming winter. The image is so soft in gold and white. It seems to be ideal for last show down of autumn beauty.

I get the feeling that the deer like the winter because I see them more. Seems the hotter months they are higher into the mountain to stay cooler. My property is heavily wooded in front of my house and small heards often sleep here. I seldom bother them for a photograph but this girl just kept hanging around and thought maybe she not mind, must not have because she still hung around for a good while after the photo. Thank you Yasue for this great review, I very much appreciate your time!

Do you have mild winter? My impression of animals in the winter is always struggle for food and cold etc. I think I see too many animal documentaries? hehehe? It is s nice to be able to see those guys in nature. You must be living a wonderful place.

What a beautiful sight to see
from your front porch. This is a great composition and I really like how it seems to have a tri-color look to it.It looks as if it was posing for this shot. The technical areas are good as well as the lighting.Great visual.

I am envious of you being able to take a picture like this right from your front porch. Really nice scene. Great focus and clarity in the shot

Yes, I love having the deer around so often this time of year. I don't usually bother them much so they will keep coming for visits but this lady seem to actually want to pose. Thank you so much for this great review Mike, I appreciate your time!

Great composition Low. Nicely captured shot with the gold of the grounds and the snow on the ground as well as the deer. The half point deduction is in regard to it being a tad dark on the deer. Perhaps an exposure compensation or slight brightening in post processing would help with that. Very enjoyable to view and thank you for sharing this. Scott

What's this? Does this healthy looking dude help you shovel snow:) So with the new Canon you get to watch TV with the shutter. OK, nuff of the 1 liners. This is one nice wildlife shot. Snow and low light outdoors with the zummer gave you decent detail. If was me i would smack it with a touch of artificial flash. Does take a light touch not to fool with the fine detail in this perfectly cropped photo. ((just took a look, cathc me on back end of luch break. Think this may be first time in 3 years i got first review in a photo from you. ) keep warm and eat a bird sammich;0)

LOL!! Yep, I ride on her back while holding shovel, she very obedient!! Canon the best TV ever! I took advise and brought in more highlights---if/when you git time tell me if I 'brushed her cheek' or smacked a bit much----I struggled with lighting here and think you gave me the answer---however, hope I didn't smack it---thank you for being the first gitten here!!

yes I see the snow flying better now. Depends on how much you want to touch it. Am thinking your monitor could be adjusted brighter than average. i have thought this before. Sure don't want to hit the snow much more but would consider a t-touch more just plain bright or flash adjust . Plain bright adjust could work.

Opps...I did a refresh. Looks good npw. No more ,,,Ya got it!!
-
It is late night and am at home now looking and I don't how you did it without blowing out some snow but it now looks brilliant. May have been partly my work monitor but you hit it again. now it is a 5*
