I'm sorry...I really don't know about techniques and lighting, so I understand my reviews aren't helpful(like you need any help) in regards to improving your talented skill.
I basically review on the feelings I get when I see a picture. To some they view this as a "pat on the head" and let me know I am not "qualified" to be reviewing. Not here at Far, but somewhere here in the neighborhood.

So, my point is(hard to believe were here already huh?) does this kind of reviewing technique help you, or annoy you?

I know that sounds strange to ask, but there are some mean people in the art world, which I'm sure you know...I need to learn how to "handle" people I guess.

Okay, here's the part we've all (huh?) been waiting for....the actual review...

When I came across this picture, I instantly wanted to be there, with
My Bi Jou Jou(he's my muse) and my poetry box(ooh fun stuff in there) and just sit and write.
This spot reminds me of Old Fort Spokane WA, a place I went a few times with mom and dad..and my sissy too of course...I haven't thought of that trip in probably twenty years.
Is this place in or near your stomping ground?
Gorgeous, how could anyone forsake something so *sighs*

I love finding (dammit I already used seredipitous for you) hiden treasure's (I know) like this when I hop in my car and just drive.
I am going to stop there, because today I am learning about mercy...hehe..take care, you know what? You're so cool..take it twice...Polly

Certainly not a strange question to me Polly! I appreciate your thoughts and enjoy knowing what an image brings to your thoughts, whether good or not so good---I feel most people who buy art of any medium do so because it touches them in some way knowing little of what it took to create or capture the image. We all have opinions and we all 'matter' along with our opinions.

Reviews simply offering thought about my work is never annoying, maybe I am strange but I have gotten to the point that even 'mean' reviews don't bug me much--I just call them a name 'in my head' and move on---

Yes, this place is around my stomping grounds. It would be the perfect place to sit, think, and write. I like to write but seldom find time to coupled with the fact I am not so great at it---

    You very cool yourself!!

Thank you for this note that I truely enjoyed and will drop you a note on your other review very soon---got crap ta catch up on---soon!

LOL..hurry catch up...I am here because I am behind in replying to my poetry reviews last time I checked by 378...I saw that and just left...I would never cut and paste a "thanks for the review"....So now I fear the swamps..hehe..maybe I should stop posting huh? But I'm addicted..It's like literary crack or something...LOL

My husband thinks he can "fix" computers, although they are working great...I just got a new laptop, I cannot go into why, because I do love my man with both of his eyeballs, and he is in my sights as I type...but he still was able to mess up my wireless connection not to mention my printer from our bedroom....he's able to kill me now from a remote area now.

Aye..'tis true..I am teathered to the wall.

Last night for the first time I was not Polly pleasant to a mean reviewer..I really thought Tom might bounce me.
But me friend said although it was fookin hilarious and I should be a lawyer...I should refrain from such future "snaps" but I should be alright because he attacked me integrity.

Oh I wish you could read what I said, give me some pointers...but it is so long..no I wasn't silent as I lead them to the gillotine...I'm gonna have to go study your graceful ways I reckon.

Well it was lovely talking to you..took me mind off me scary amount of reviews. It's amazing how they pile up if you are unable to stay on top of them...due to system failure of the brain.

Fear not...I am teathered but weathered ....
See you...and thank yer fer bein so kind to me like yer have been..*Curtsies*....Pollyanna

Hi, I was wondering and driving through the woods here looking for some old crap and I ended up here. This is a pretty little place up against the rock outcropping. All neat looking in this exceptionally well composed photo. I don't see nothing laying around here to haul off to old crap heaven. The back of the truck is almost full so I will make a delivery back into the clouds soon. I am to busy lately!

a very average shot for me this one, not having any detail in the barn really loses out, there is no impact, no colours to attract, just a plain shot of a barn

I am trying to find something to say about this picture, it's very rural and country at heart, but is missing color and the subject matter is difficult to distinquish. the center of the piece. should be the fence

Thank you sassy!! You won't see much of 'smack dap center' from me, I just think character is lost in the all over photo. That is what I like so much about fanart tho is opinions greatly differ and I certainly appreciate them all! Thanks again!!

I like this one a lot. The framing is excellently done in my opinion and the overall scene is great as well. Good work!

This hits home quite a bit. I like the lighting but I think the sky could use a little of more interesting effect. Job well done..

This is a good composition Low, just doesn't make a big impact for me. You do come up with the interesting shots. Different lighting may have been better. Nice job!!!!

This is a nice scene. I like the composition and depth. The lighting is a bit a harsh, so you lose a lot of detail on the barn itself in the shadows. Focus is right on!

Thank you very much saul! Yep, slip into the 'dark' about the lighting sometimes, more often sometimes than I prefer!

You and me both! I am horrible about that!

I like this photo the colors are nice and bright! The depth of field is good, and I like how you didn't center the barn...it makes it look more appealing to me...the clarity of the photo is well done also. Great work!!

Nice shot LowRider !!! I really like the subject matter in this photo. This conveys a very calm, quiet feeling to me. Nice color too .My only suggestion would be to crop out the concrete silo and part of the sky. I feel it is to cold compared to the warm feeling I get from the wooden structures. I know you would lose a portion of the barn, but I still feel it would 'warm' the photo a little. When the sky doesn't come off as real blue, it tends to impart a coldness to an image. Sometimes just a little peek through the trees is all you need. I still like the image very much. Keep up the great work :)

Thank you very much dave! Yep, I get what you are saying, I struggled with that myself in cropping this! Your advice is most appreciated!
