Now, if Peter Jackson were still scouting locations for LOTR, he'd want to have another look at this! This is a really cool place! I like the Shiitake picture, as well! Brilliant color and great detail really bring this photo, as well as the others in the book, out!

Well there is one thing about it...... it is not "old crap" but it is old!!! It is a beautiful scene, with the green trees on top of the rocks and the fall colors below it! Beautiful scenery! Nice shot!

I like all of the different textures in this photo along with the variety of colors in the foliage. The bits of sky showing through is just enough to add one more color to the spectrum.

You're right this is "old crap". That wonderful "crap" that only a few can look at and see history of a time gone by, the untouched beauty of earth, the stop and look around, and the wonders, color, and creatation of God. Your "crap" takes the cake! :)

Hey Lowrider, where was this taken at. I like it, it makes me want to climb up there-look down, and take more photos. You on some kind of tour right now, just shooting away at the countryside- if you are- drive safe, and keep shooting. Thank you for the shot, orion008

Thank you very much orion!!! Nope, just cruisin' back roads within a 30 mile radius of my home which is in Larkspur, CO. I don't really get into long road trips with the Harley, can only take so much hand vibration!

Now, Low, I know you have taken many photographs of what you like to call 'old crap', but this is just plain crap. As a matter of fact, this takes the cake of all your crap.

HAHA! Just kidding. I think this is a great shot. Love the color, especially against the rock background.

This place reminds me of South Dakota, and a place I used to visit to do my art work. My sons (ahem ...all 3 of them) go to Sturgis on their Harleys and it has become a family ritual every August. When I lived in Newcastle WY, I was one hour from Sturgis and very much enjoyed the thousands of bikes and multitudes of people I visited with. Their is nothing the matter with this photo...it is peaceful and gentle, like the spirit of the Black Hills. Excellent job...
