Yasue, This is one of the most beautiful art pieces that I have seen on this sight. It has simplicity, and drama. The colors are phenomenal. Love the face. Very dramatic.

I love the colors used in this piece. The classic style of the koi really add to this piece. The upturned face and the thoughtful expression, great. Wiz

Mino,
As with some of your other works, this has a real sense of Yin and Yang, the exchange and mixing of energies. I like the subtle feel of the fish and the face of the mermaid, this image as a whole works so well, and gives a story.

I am moving toward different style. I am getting a little bit bored and I had to try something different. I think I will stick with this style for a while. Thank you for your wonderful feedback. Yasue.

Very powerful piece of art of a young mermaid, surrounded by nice rich colors. I really like the monochromatic approach in presenting this subject matter. Very nice work, and very colorful.

Yes, it sound a big wired color conbination. But gold color is actually essence in this type of presentation (according to my culture). Thank you very much for your great review. Yasue.

You say in your notes "thank you for viewing my work". I say to you, thank you for sharing your work. Yasue, this is so beautifully done in all respects. Firstly the concept, very original and a part of who you are. Secondly in the tonal quality. Your work is always noted by great tones made of by strong and quiet one but always contributing to the story telling. Your tones here the deep blue with the lighter blue (representing a splash or break in the water) is fantastic. The koi is wonderfully done in the lines and colors. Great attention to detail. The face, the spiritual face if beautiful with the light shining on her . The eyes, cheeks and lips are simply special. Yasue, thank you for sharing this and your incredible talents. Scott

Thank you, my friend, for an exceptional score. I am bored and when I become bored, I am depressed. Currently, I tried to move on to something different, and this is a first try in that style. I do not plan, and do not do even sketch; just bring feeling into a painting. That may be a reason why the work has such strong emotional outlet. This type of work is very controversial, sometime (this is not so bad, but for some viewers), but I believe it appeal strongly to the sensitive and intuitive individual such as you. Anyway, I am glad (honestly) you like this work. You will see more of this type for a while, since I am going to stick with this for a while. I think this style is good for me, either it may or may not be ended up preventative work. Thank you again; this would be a great encouragement for me.
    Yasue.

This is absolutely beautiful Yasue. I love the mix of colours you have used and the way then blend with one another. The girl who was once a mermaid is just perfect and your very specially koi is indeed extremely beautiful. I find it a very expressive and emotive image. Gorgeous work.
