This is great, I love the fish he looks like he has so much attitude. I also like the way you have utilized Photoshop, it really is a great tool to use and you have done it proud

It's cool and the fish looks particularly fantastic but the clown mask makes the whole thing a little bit ridiculous... Maybe that is what you're aiming for but it doesn't work for me sorry...

That's the first time I've ever seen "ridiculous" used in a critique before. You made me laugh, thanks for that, it's been a while.
Nope, I'm not getting at anything apart from a play on words and the technical challenge I set for myself in combining the photos. :) Thanks for the god ranking even though things aren't working for you. :)
    Cheers!

I think this is a creative and interesting manipulation of photos. The digital combination very well and realistic, except for the bubbles. They detract from the genuaine feel of the overall piece. But, at any case, this is still an enjoyable view and study...

Thanks, those bubbles have been a thorn in my side with every third critique or so. I appreciate you comments, I think I might actually remove them for future showings on other sites.
    Thanks again.

The photo work is great. The color , exposure , blending is excellent. It is very clear and the contrast is perfect. It is amazing. I hope to see more of your work. No flaws can I find. Great!

Thank you so much. A lot of folks don't like the bubbles, and I'm stating to feel that way myself
    Thanks again.

Wonderful photograph- it is hard to capture fish, but you did it well! It is very crisp, sharp and colorful. Your PS effects are well executed and presented. And I also like your detailed explanation, when you can understand what went into making a great photo you can appreciate it more.

What a great picture. I've got a huge planted aquarium and I've always struggled taking pictures of it. Now I've got some new ideas on how to do it. Thanks!

Thanks for the vote of confidence timloco, I'm really glad the explanation is gong to be useful to you. My hopes when I explain the process I go through in some of my creations, is that it will save someone somewhere some time and or expand on ideas or techniques they may have wanted to try.
    Thanks for your comment.

Thank You, and you're not alone with the bubbles. :) There's a lot that could take or leave them :)

Interesting interaction with the title and the work... I love how it looks as thought the fish is peering over the bubble or surface which contains the warped image of the clown...

Thanks, the clown is actually a ceramic mask, though odd without eye holes. I found it in the children's museum in London Ontario and photographed it through a glass panel. I appreciate you kind comments and thanks for the generous rating.

This is a very cool picture. I like the combination of subjects. The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the bubbles. They look drawn in. Overall, it is a great photo.

Thanks, and yes the bubbles are the only non photograph (drawn) piece of this work. You're not alone in picking up on that. Folks seem to either love or hate them. I think now that if I had of left them out, there would be one less discerning factor for this piece. Thanks again for your rating and comment.
