Neat concept and pretty well done. The bubbles look a little to fake though. And I think a clown fish would have made more sense. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks Richard, you're not the first to notice the bubbles, and if I were to make any changes, I think I'd have omitted them in hind site. Thanks so much for your critique. I don't have a salt water tank, thought a clown fish will be the first occupant if I ever get one .
    Thanks again. Brian

Wow. Nice technique with the shutters. I never thought of that, but I know very little about photography. I'm not so sure I understand the clown face, but I LOVE how the fish seems to be glowing as it emerges from the darkness. He really stands out, and his coloring is so vibrant! The bubbles are cute and cartoony. They are a nice, simple, added touch. Great job. Keep it up.

Thanks, though I'm beginning to believe that the bubbles in this image could be in a forum all of their own. Folks either love them or hate them. I'm beginning to mentally think them away .
The clown face was a personal joke because I don't have a clown fish but figured "Clown" + "FISH" as a title mentioned both subjects if they are read separately. Some are wondering where the "Clown-fish" is without seeing my musing. That's fine, I don't expect everyone to get it, though I really like the comments I'm getting, they all seem to open my mind to a flood of potential possible creative future works.
    Thanks again.

OH! Clownfish! LoL. *rolls eyes and blushes* I didn't read the title. I understand completely. Sorry about that. I'm so silly. ;p

Nice piece, I think a little more could be done with image to draw out the mystical nature of the piece. The color for me is drab and I would have heightened some of the colors in the mask.

"Mystical Nature" now that is a compliment, thank you very much. I didn't want to really affect the original images any more than I felt necessary. Though I am finished editing this work, I will keep you suggestion in mind for future compositions that I feel creeping from the depth of my mind. Sometimes they come that way, I feel something building up then I have to act to draw it out to the screen. Other times there is nothing, short of quickly jumping through the tens of thousands of photos I've taken with my current camera, and marking the ones that stand out, for later editing.
Thanks again for your critique and great rating.

I like it. I think it is very well done, just maybe the bubles don't look so real, but composition is nice . Maybe I just miss the water!

Thanks for the kind rating on this image, and letting me know how you feel about the bubbles. I really had to toil with them, and wondered if I was doing the right thing by including these artificial elements to an otherwise set of real images. I hope you do miss the water, it took me a while to remove it all. :)
    Cheers!

That's what I though when creating it, the Nemo theme sort of.

This is an interesting concept and is very well executed. The black background really contrasts well with the bright orange of the fish and the white clown face - it looks very effective. Nice work.

great job...it pays to experiment and expand the "tests" of things new.
Great color against the background, and that goldfish looks like he is reading our minds....real good life and capture. quite remarkable....attraction to the fish.
good job...thanks for sharing

Thank you very much. I don't think I'll be able to look at my goldfish the same way again now. However I kind of expected that he is reading my mind from time to time, as when I approach the tank, he comes right over and makes faces at me.
    Thanks again.
