You chose the correct title for this. When it is scrutinised really closely the textures seem to change. Nice effects and textures.

Splendid piece! Your artwork shows emotion and expresses the sensual side of the "Woman"! She lies on the floor, awaiting news from her lover or her hope to meet the prince of her future. Her desires are human and she wants to be happy and spend her life with the one that makes her heartfelt emotions hold true to her soul! She is vibrant, she is beautiful, she is woman! You did an amazing job with all of her facial features, so nicely displayed in her expressive charm, showing and evoking thoughts of love and romance. Her hand rests upon her beating heart in a sense of bubbling emotion that grips her every thought, she instills a softness about her, one of deep compassion and love for someone special in her life. I like the hardwood floor and the hard work that you put into its very creation, a wonderful contrast to the expressive woman lying upon it! Your artwork could pass as a black and white photograph, such realism, such truth in emotion! I love everything about this piece, it is a beautiful display of raw emotion and an exceptional work of art done in pencil! Her eyes tell a story! The location of her hands fill the story with emotion and thoughts of passion! Hands are difficult to draw and you did a super job with them and I must say the wait for this wonderful piece was well worth it! As always, your artwork is moving and shows the love of god, through the power of thought through your hands to paper! Thanks for sharing your gift, your talent! Take care and god bless my friend Linda!

Well, Ron, here we are again, at the crossroads of artdom. Working are craft with the bliss that comes from a deep seeded desire to create. Not just draw or paint, but to actually bare our souls for all to see. Art for the sake of craft is just that, fun, and craftness. Art, real art, is more of the spiritual experience you and I have discussed in the past. The gift of our Heavenly Father, to convey the truth, that God uses the simple, to show forth the magnitude of His glory. May you be blessed in your work and may Christ continue to speak words of wisdom to you and through you,

This is absolutely gorgeous Linda. So full of emotion and passion and kind of nostalgic beauty. It looks like a very old and valuable works done some years ago and the look of her face and eyes is just stunning. Absolutely love it, really appeals to the romantic and the artist in me.

I love the shading and tonal qualities. Proportion is perfect, this woman really stands out in this black and white. Her arms and hands are exquisitely drawn. The eyes are a little haunting and have longing and enticement in them. Beautiful in every way, well done, excellent execution. Thank you. Levon7

    Dearest Levon,
Wonderful Elton John song, by the way. Thank you for your fantastic review. Drawing softness, such as this womans hands and arms, is a great way to bring a gentle, soft, quietness to the soul. The hard wood floor is a reminder of the hardness of our days. Gentle moments in prayer, That is what I express in the contrast in this picture. May you be blessed.

Oh Linda you just amaze me each and every time you post your work. I can not get over your attention to detail.I wish I had a 10 to give you never mind a 6. Her expression is priceless and I find myself imagining the gentleman she is thinking about. Do you ever draw animals?

    Dear rbeyes,
Thank you for your very kind words in your review. I have drawn animals, but I am not moved by doing so. There is something about the human spirit that comes through the work and causes me to pray and to want to capture the light through the eyes of the pictures. That light that lets us know that eternity is a reality and that the spirit of a man can only be created by God. May you be blessled

Wonderful imagery and exceptional detail.

Really like the wood flooring and the care and precision given to it as well as the woman.

Very good job done with the shadowing under her hands and the flow of her hair.

Comment from Charlena

Well let me tell you, you are so gifted, the beauty and innocence that spills from this drawing is very powerful. I see a young woman maybe 18 prom night, all ready gone and had the time of her life and realizing she is in love and dreaming of the future. Your detail is beyond words, proportion, shadowing and angles, it looks like a black and white photo.
