You are truly a high end professional! Your work rocks and is superior than most of the stuff I have seen on FAR. I just gave my first 1.5 star to an image that made me wonder what in the world is this person doing here?
Your stuff is high end. I have your portfolio open for the umpteenth time on my other monitor. I can tell you which of your images I like the best. I just ask myself, which one I would take home with me from a gallery if I could only choose 1. It would be between Approaching the Storm and Olive Branch. It would be a hard choice but I probably would go with Olive Branch because of the color variation.
Anyway, concerning the image to the left.
Composition: Nicely composed. I like the gradient in the background from the left to the right. I don't know what the shawn henry logo is about. I would also wonder what it would look like if the apple was moved over and place slightly behind the red bottle. That would cause the composition to be off balance though.
Color usage: Nice color usage with the reds, golds, and browns. Kind of a moody palatte here.
Subject Matter: Still lifes are always attractive to me and demand my attention.
Attractive Value: If I saw this hanging in a gallery, I would stop and ponder this for awhile.
I don't think this is the strongest in your portfolio but it is still highend and quality!

It's a good thing you told us this isn't a photo because it really looks like one! I would have just assumed it was a wax apple that had a "different" look. The reflections on the table are the finishing touch. Love your work!

The background colors are perfect for the overall presentation.
The reflection of the vase candlestick and yes the apple are very good.
The large vase is perfect for the dried flowers and the flowers themselves really beautiful.

Colours are great, and composition wonderful, looks like the plants are actually growing out of the vase. Only slight flaw might be the reflection of the apple, doesn't look quite right, but then as you say, the apple doesn't look right anyway!
