The mushroom is cool. Wish you had gotten a little more of the tree perhaps and less of the plant in the foreground for sure. Next time maybe from a different angle.

I am finding that the picture seems a little cluttered the branch is obstructing alot of the mushroom although the color is quite good and the focus seems to be there good job. :)

Zach U, seems to me you might have bent that branch out of the way, without harming it of course. I also find the background in this image to be much too cluttered. It also seems to me that the photograph is not well focused. Finally, in any case, at least in the way it is presented here, your mushroom seems a dull subject to me.

I really like the "peaks" on the skin of the shroom. The magnification and clarity are excellent. Teensy suggestion on moving the green leaves off to the left to frame. You could even artificially snap a little section of the same type of plant and hold in lower right corner for a framing effect that would emphasize the roundness of the mushroom. It looks huge. Excellent color.
