your stoyries are gettibg better then the photos, hehehe, not really actually this is a great photo, the subject is in good eye balance, the back ground of the hilly background is great and a barn does remind one of horses, great job LowRider.

Beautiful shot Debbie, and a great story too. Love the scale of the mountains, we have very little that big where I am. Very well done!

What a beautiful scene. I like the way the barn stands out in the picture. Lets you get the feeling of how big the mountains are. The different colors in the background almost look like three pictures put together (three different scenes) which give it a neat effect. Hope that makes sense. Nice

Composition seems to be without focus, theme, or unity. The contrast between the blue in mountains of the background and the red of the building in the center lends interest and helps give the picture balance, but the surrounding buildings subtract from the interest-- the additional colors do nothing to add to the composition as a whole. The picture could do with less individual objects and more focus. All in all a weak composition with little feeling or interest.

Sorry Debbie. I can only give you 5 stars, this picture is at least an 8 star picture. It has great depth, a great range of colors. You framed it perfectly.
The history was pretty good too, that should be another 4 stars. ; )

This is a nicely composed shot, LowRider. I love the mountains in the background, they look like curtains.

The foreground may be a little overexposed, but that probably couldn't be helped since the exposure on the bar is perfect. Maybe if you play with it digitally you could dodge a little bit of the foreground and see how it looks.

Thank you very much rga!! I am really poor with playing with my pics, but I do keep trying when I get great suggestions such as yours. Thank you again!!

Thanks so much for the reminiscing notes you provided. My bareback experience had a hurtful ending in a barbed wire fence. The hillside angle of this sharp red barn is very picturesque. The rock or washout in the foreground is a good lead up to the barn in this photo. The silo and fore area ended up with hot spots that detract a bit.

I liked this one better than the tighter shot...gives a nice sense of the surrounding vistas. great landscape image.

I loved your story- it really made the picture even more beautiful- thank you so much for sharing it with us. I like how you caught this scene on a slope & framed it the way you did. Really, very nice!
