This is a wonderful shot. I love the black and white and colors. You made this so nice that people might not see the true meaning of the picture and that is poverty. alittle blurry though. all together a wonderful shot

Thank you so much for your kind review. You are right it is blurry. She wasn't in my focus originally but part of the background of an much bigger picture. I couldn't get to here in time to make a closer up of her but I found this part of the 'big picture' so important that I decided to present it by itself in spite of the technical flaws.

By grayscaling the ground and background you succeeded in accentuating the misery these poor and unfortuante people live in and thanks to genreous people liek you they may enjoy a moment in time. The girl's looks are of trepidation of the situation.

This is an emotional image, for sure. You've captured a very solemn expression on the girl and an aprehensive pose. I would also desaturate the brightly colored items at her feet - those colors are just too bright and cheerful for the mood you're trying to set.
