This is an excellent journalistic picture, illustrating very well your story. You have very good composition, and good lighting, and your technical excellence shows!

A great job at capturing the emotion here, I think the selective coloring serves this image well. The composition could be a bit better, maybe if she was in the bottom right a bit more, and more of her surroundings showed? The clarity could use some work as well. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for your kind review.
You are right with the flaws you see. She is out of focus. She was background part of a much bigger picture what wasn't focused on her. I couldn't get a better shot because she got up before I was close enough.
There is really nothing else in her surroundings than the wall and the clutter around her. To show more of it would be distracting.

This picture says so much. Working with children I see so much, that is hard to bear, but this young lady touches my heart. It is so sad that there can be such wealth sitting next to such need and nothing being done by those with the power to change it :*(
I think your photo is a wonderful thing to share, because it is getting your message such a long way from home.
Thank you.

Good presentation. Good technique. Good color harmony. Good lighting. Good depth of field. Good center of focus. Good story telling ability. Good photo which makes a good point. Poverty can happen to anyone-what are we doing to help?

Thank you so much for your generous review. I don't know what we are doing to help but I know taking photos of it and wake the awareness. The thing our community did was adopting the village of this girl and help there directly.

How awesome. Keep up the good work. With my husband being laid off now for almost seven months, I know that poverty can happen to any of us at any time. No one is untouchable.
