Spyder, This is for sure an excellent shot! These I have found are very difficult shots to take because there is so much depth you are trying to deal with, yet at the same time keep the focus on the flowers only. You did an excellent job of this in the shot. I think just a little bit smaller aperture and it would have brought the lower flowers into better focus. Still, this is very good and nice work!

I don't know for sure, but, I suspect you had your lens opened up and lost your depth of field on an excellently framed shot, notice the two lower flowers are blurring. If you hadn't already.set up with a tripod, close your lens for more depth of field and go to a slower shutter speed to compensate.

This is a very good photo, the colors and focus are excellent, however I would have taken this photo from a slightly different angle, not looking down at the subjects quite so much. :)

Great pic. I love flowers as well. Good compostion and framed fairly well. Colors are deep and vibrant while contrast may be slightly off. Im not sure. The only suggestion i would have is that the light in the upper right had corner of the photo takes away from a great pic. Just having someone block that light next time. That might fix this. Overall beautiful pic

Thanks for your comments. the light in the corner is distracting. Tried to edit it at little after I uploaded the photo. Still did not do much for this pic. Just live and learn I guess

This would make for an excellent image if it weren't for that very distracting hot spot of direct sunshine contaminating the top left and smaller instance in the top right corner. If you have the opportunity to photograph this again, would suggest using something or someone to block the light from those areas. What do you think?

You captured the vibrant colors of the flower really well and very sharp. I also like the fact that you captured some of the flowers before they bloomed which makes your photo very interesting and beautiful.

Nice flowers. . .good color and composition but the overall color seems a bit off. It is obviously too washed out on the upper left hand corner and it seems as though it should be a bit brighter overall.

Great vivid colors. I love the clarity of the photo and that it shows flowers in the various stages of opening. While the shadow allows a the fabulous clarity of colors since it is not a complete shadow I think it detracts from the overall photo.
