This is a beautiful portrait of the little boy. The lighting is really great. The expression you caught is lovely. I especially like the character I see in the eyes.

unfortunatly the photograph is lacking some sharpness which is a shame, nether the less its really good compostion and concept, the bluring adds softness to a childs face which is always good, well done!

Thank you for your friendly and honest review. I hope you won't get mad at me but I have to disagree. I just checked the original file and can't see were the photo lakes sharpness. Except you speak of the outlines of the head [hear, ear chin] and the shirt. There it is blurred as the background intentionally in order to concentrate on the face especially the eyes. But I appreciate your review, we can't agree always.

This is a wonderful capture of this adorable young man. I love the poignant expression and personality you captured. Great lighting and colors. Not a huge fan of the blur, but if the depth of field was not able to be made shallow, it had to be done.

I wish I had a six for this, its one of the best baby shots I have seen on the site.
Love the soft surround and that angelic face sharp in the centre.

Thank you very much for your great review. You are right with that sad look. Many of these Maya children have this look and seam to mature for their age. It must be the hard life they are born into. In this case I think he is also a little frightened of all the unknown things going on around him.
