I really love the concept of this photo and you have taken it really nicely. The close cropping of the hand and the instrument really work well. The flash might be a little to harsh but it is good. Overall I really like it and, maybe if you run it through some digial touching up, you can try to soften the edges to give it a dreamy look. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so very much for your generous review and you suggestions. The harsh light is not a flash but the curse of a photographer: stage light. There was one of the big professional spotlight laying on the musician. I have the harsh area already burned. I hope you don't mine but I disagree with the dreamy look. It just won't go along with the reality. of the job. In my point of view it would be more a catalog or postcard immage or may a immage a tourist would take. Sorry, but even if I disagree I appreciate your input.

Very interesting photo with some wonderful and vibrant colors. I like how you have composed the frame with the hand on the side. However the hand seems a bit soft on focus and the light is bit harsh. Seems like you have used flash for this photo...Overall nice capture. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your throuought and kind review. No I haven't used flash. It's the curse of a photographer: Stage light. There was a big spotlight on the musician. You see it on the Guitarron to but there. I have already burned the area. Evidently not enough.

This close-up has strong initial impact. It is well composed, and rather unusual. The lighting is good, giving nice contrast. There is much story telling ability.

Lovely rhythm and tone you've established with the design of the instrument and the hand, cleo.

Composition just falls into place for me. When I lived in Texas, we often spent weekends in San Antonio or some of the Mexican border towns like Tijuana, Rio, etc. And one of the highlights of the evening would be eating in an outside restaurant and listening to the strolling Mariachi players.

Or sometimes in just walking down the street one would encounter a strolling group of singers. Always entertaining and special.

Brings back some wonderful memories I haven't thought of in some time.

And, forgot to mention, your colors are so festive and rich, very much like being there.

Nicely done with the angle for th is. Your focus is ok here and the technique for the shot works well. Just a bit of bright spots in the areas I have marked here.

Even with the clear focus, you can feel the rhythm being tapped out by your capture of his fingers on the instrument. Interesting angle and aspect that you chose for this photo. Great composition

Additional Comments: Good composition and lighting. I find it difficult to see what it is the hand is doing, other than reaching for something. Is he playing the instrument in the comment. It is difficult to tell, if that is the case. Maybe it is just me? Good luck in the contest.
