You captured a very nice image here. I like the composition a lot and the rich colors. I think the light is a bit harsh, but it is not so bad to take away from the impact.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your generous review. You are right the light is harsh. I burned the area slightly, but to much of it makes it unnatural looking. The curse of the photographer are the big spotlights on performers.

I agree with you completely. Stage lighting usually sucks pretty bad for photography. Good shot though. :)

Not having seen this instrument my first desire was to see more of it. I like your color work and the contrast levels achieved are good. Exposure for light looks like the shirt is a bit overexposed. Composition divides the frame nicely. Detail is good.

Thank you. I appreciate your generous review very much. Believe it or not I burned the sleeve already. Evidently not enough. The curse of the photographer are these harsh spotlights on the performer.

I really like the composition and the thoughts behind it.The lighting messed a little with the focus on the hand but I am assuming it is that type of lighting that is near impossible to work with or in my opinion anyway. The grain on the instrument shows well.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your generous and kind review. Yes it is the type of light that is inpossible to work with. These harsh professional spotlight are a curse for a photographer. I burned the area already. It was worse.

This is a very interesting image. I like picture that make you take a closer look to determine what the subject is. The colors here are very warm you can almost hear the sound of the instrument. Lovely!

What a great mix of colours, shapes and textures! The light on the hand is a bit bright and I feel the white cuff draws the eye from the main focal point, so would crop it and a little along the bottom. Very nicely observed.

Thank you. I appreciate your kind and honest review very much. Yes the light is a problem. These spotlights are a curse for the photographer. I burned the lighted area. I tryed different cropping but wasn't satisfied. I'll look into it again. Thanks for your advise.

Cool shot, I love it, interesting instrument. And very suitable for the contest. Nice tighter composition. With good colors, also lighting is perfect. Well done and all the best ;)

Very excellent. All the dominant elements come together in one cross section: color, texture, and hand. I really like this...it is unexpected. Good composition...maybe a little too bright in the hand and cuff, and distracting in the top right hand corner. Otherwise, approve.

Thank you so much for your generous review. You are right with the light. I couldn't influence the lighting. There was a big spotlight on this hand. I tryed to burn the area. The 'distraction' is part of the instrument: the strings. I hope you won't be mad at me if I disagee on this. I can't see it as an distraction.

Of course not...not mad at all. I appreciate your take on this. Now, it makes sense. It's all a matter of the eye of the photographer/artist. Thanks for the reply.
