Lone wagon

Although I think this would be better shot from its front, allowing the bar in the front to be in the frame, I like this angle too. The lighting is good and it works well. Nice shot.

I love old antiques like this. This is a particularly nice specimen. The composition/angle of your shot seems fairly plain, but I like it.

The wagon colors are wonderful but the lighting is harsh...I think the concept of a lone wagon would work better if there was more background to show its solitariness.

Fantastic colors captured here.. the subject is unique and interesting.. I think it would have been a bit better if the whole wagon was framed in on this image as it seems to be pulling the eyes off the left side of the image, and maybe a little bit shallower dof.. other than that a wonderful shot.. I hope my comments help...

This is great, Debbie.
I like the simplicity of this photo. The colors are wonderful as well. Very eye catching. Nice composition. I like how it is centered and the angle that you shot from.

Hey, Myrtle, stop with the old crap, wouldja? this is more NOTOLDCRAP!! :o)

It's GORGEOUS! I like how you've got the tree behind it -- hm, it looks like the tree is growing right OUT of it! The brown grass, the snow, both add to the aged look of this thing. Very nicely done!

Nice shot LowRider. I know the general tendency in terms of taste in this site is for people to want you to "fill the frame," crop closer, zoom in bigger, etc (I get that comment a lot). My preference is more towards the opposite, so I might be in contrast to comments you might get from others on this picture.

Back out a little, show the surroundings of this object. If you're going for the lonely, neglected, old object feel, showing the empty open space around it might put that across. I seem to recall a shot of another carriage you took that you did that with to great effect.

Besides, if you get a lot of cropping comments, you can always zoom in and crop out the empty spaces (so long as you have good grain on your film and a good scanner, of course).

I agree rga, actually I took this photo with a wider view in mind, but forgot to set my DOF larger as I was hurrying to snap and get off the posted property. There was some nice 'stuff' around it that really added to it, if I had not blurred it! Thank you very much!!

Beautiful photo. I love the colors of the wagon and the patches of the snow. The tree might be a bit strong in the background. I could see this hanging over the fireplace.

again very close to perfect, the subject is awesome, the colours are brillent, but again not close enough shot to the subject, and because the background is so busy and in focus the subject is not in focus enough, I think the lighting was perfect, so try again with the same light. if you want of corse, hehehe
