Very nice colors and lights, lines and curves. Initial impact is very good and captures the visual interests in a special way. You have to like all its fine components and shapes.

This is beautiful. I love the colors. The blue is so deep. The kind of abstract tree is very artistic and I love the stars that you added. The poem is so pretty and well placed with a great font. This would make a great holiday card. thanks for sharing.

Sure counts in my book.

Well done. And the colors are especially symbolic in a number of ways.

Would send you a snowball but imagine it would melt before it got there.

Even though the snow can be beautiful, I'll settle for warm days anytime.

Hope all is well - love the poem you used with your mixed media. Happy New Year.

    Thank you a lot.
We have even snow her. The artificial kind. And there is the ice and the ice cream in the freezer. Thats enough of that could stuff. I settle for the green Christmas and the Christmas lights and ornaments on the palm trees any time.

I would have loved this art work as a post card to send to my friends. The tree and the snow is perfect to illustrate the poem. The text in yellow make a beautiful color contrast to the blue background. All together, - it's a very nice presentation. Thank you for sharing! Karin.

HI CLOE, THE YUCATAN IS BEAUTIFUL IN IT'S OWN RIGHT AND YES, HA, HA...ONE HAS TO USE THEIR IMAGINATION TO RECREATE THE WINTER CHILL AND THE SEASON AS SUCH. I THINK YOU DID A GREAT JOB AND THE RUSSELL POEM WAS THE FITTING TOUCH. MANY THANKS FOR SHARING THIS SEASONAL GREETINGS PIECE AND MY BEST REGARDS TO YOU IN THE NEW YEAR, JOHN

This is a very creative picture, and your illustration of the picture with the James Lowell poem was very appropriate. I guess this is a digital painting, which I think requires a lot of technical ability.

Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate your generous review. Yes it is a digital painting but only partly. The background were made with an photo what was treated with special digital filters.

One of the most interesting aspects of art, for me, is seeing the artist through their work. In getting to know artists, I am always amazed at how perfectly the art matches the person. Their work is always a clear, direct, window into their inner being.
You, cleo85, tell me in your artwork about a strong women with well-defined purpose in life and strength culture.
With hope I don't mistake I wish all the best in the New Year .
Regads.

I do believe this fits the contest just fine..The atmosphere you portray is perfect for the prose and together they make a very nice combination. Mixed media is such a wide open format almost any type of abstract thought can be shown.. How wonderful !...Very nice creation...Dennis
