While I admire the technical skills involved with the making mof this image I'm not sure it truly works. The poem is lovely and the balancing of it against the sky is fine but it all feels as if there is an idea heerw which has not quite come off. This is all so subjective though when we are dealing with poetry, visual images and effects all in one. A challenge to get right.

Thank you for your generous review.
I'm not sure what you mean with the idea what didn't work. Truth I used I sky picture but it is symbolising the snow covered forest, what seams to be shining blue if I remember right, as it is symbolising the sky from were the snow is coming from. I'm affraid as a German I'm reading the poetry different than if I would have English as my first language. The image is just the mood I feel reading it: being at a hill country forest in a beautiful winters night. Am I wrong with the interpretation of the poem?

Of course you are not wrong. You get from a poem what you can. When I say "It does not work" I am offering only a personal view and I mean that the total image does not quite achieve what I think you set out to do. And, I think we all have to remember when reading comments or making them that they are always subjective. I look forward to more. Best wishes for 2009 . Nick
