The King is very well done indeed, kind of in the dusk, waiting...
Very good expression and good detail of his nose and mouth. The eyes are super well done
I like that his mane is "mellowing" out
Great painting

Suzanne
you have a wonderful tachnique of your own ,very soft ans sensitive. When I see a picture of yours, I am starting to recognize it with out looking at the name .This is a good thing. Picture is on the dark side ,but I gather that is from thaking a picture of the picture , If a lion can look sensitive this one has that quality, Very much like the colors you used. You have made him more than just a lion ,but a beautiful drawing
I like this very much
Again your creaticity glows
Very nice impact and lovely presentation

He looks like a very friendly lion. The sort out of Born Free or the like. Do you recall Clarance the cross eyed lion I used to love that story. Jenny

I like the picture but i think it could be improved a little bit.. if you increased the contrast and brightened the image slightly it would be more defined.. i think you could also crop the top slightly to increase the attention on the lion.. great picture though..

Thank you. The art of pastel painting is not to be too definitive!

When i first saw this painting, it made me smile. Its so well done and to look into his "soulful" eyes. I like the natural color of his fur and eyes, even the direction of his fur. Its a beautiful portrait of this King.

Good job on this! He looks to peaceful :) You can look into his eyes and just imagine what the big king is thinking about. My favorite part is the top of the head, it looks very realistic. I think that the eyes and the snout could use a little fixing up as far as getting it more realistic and a bit more proportionate. Great job overall though, I really like it ~ Angela

Very nice job on this lion. He looks so soft and handsome. His mane is just lovely. I like that it is not "over" the top but very fly away and natural looking. Great eyes.

What a pretty Lion such great hair and strength in those beautiful eyes. He looks happy to be sitting for his special Day. Oh I know it was from a Magazine but he does look like he is sitting just for you and he has a happy smile so its not lets eat. I like the background too as it blends well and adds to the picture. Thanks for sharing him. Bingo!

A very royal image.
Beautiful colors and detail.
A great sense of power comes through.
Yet It seems to be so calm and pensive.
Don't get fooled he'll hurt you if he has to.
Beautiful eyes they tell the story.
