The flow of movement that you created here is beautiful. The highlights and dark to light really create great movement. I also like the approach that you took to the task at hand and not going for the obvious. Great job and thank you for sharing your work

Sounds like you were really under pressure to produce with this one Lucien!! I love the use of only black, lilac, blue and amber - to me the black is the darknes of the stage, the dancer is blue because he is in the spotlight, the lilac is the luminosity of the lighting and the amber is the glow of the light. You have done a super job of capturing the movement and rhythm of the dancer with your strokes. Wel done yet again!

Salutations and good morning, at least for me its morning. Just a quick note to say thank you for having taken the time to look at and then review this rendering. I appreciate both efforts on your part and I am pleased you like the image.

I think this is far superior. Much more emphasis on the shape of the dancers movement reflected in the space behind. A limited choice of colour has given you time to concentrate on the dance. It is very spontaneous. An exercise it would take a lot of concentration to get into. Jenny

    Jenny,
Hello, this dance started with a dark stage and the the blue and purple lights came on and the dancer started to lift himself and then the movements and the flow of the dance took him across the stage the light chasing away the darkness and replaced by some intermittent golden orange lights, creating a really interesting lighting effect... thanks for the review and the comments within it, very much appreciated... take care and stay warm... cheers!

    Lucien,

I always watch your pencil drawings with their wonderful attention to detail and accuracy. I feel with this that you let your emotion and the sensation of the dance flow. The art is more a reflection of a real experience. Thank you for sharing the moment and good to see another side of your talent. Good to hear from you. Jenny

This one is very neat. I love the way the arms are so long and flowing. The black in the front and the yellow in the back and very nice touches. beautiful and has a lot of impact. Thanks for sharing.

This image evoked such soft fluidity of motion for me. However, If I imposed winter on this image I could feel the weight of heavy snow shoveling, and large drifts.

Good art with the flowing lines and contrasting, yet complimentary colors. It's a nice composition, but I do think the empty white space could have been utilized and would only add to the overall presentation.
