Superior photography! What a fine combination of elements here, the luminance of the sky radiates with what appears to be it's own explosion of brilliant lighting. The sand with sparse wisps of plant life trying to take hold in a losing battle, and the cross marking the end of the road for at least one. A final resting place in more than one way? Brilliant work

The work with Photoshop was certainly worthwhile: this IS dramatic.

Everything works, from the weather-blown sky to the sepia-type toning. It all looks well-focussed, with even individual grass stalks sharp. You start to wonder why the cross is there and who put it up.

Can't think of a single way in which this could be improved.
