Very nice capture of the Alley Cat. You did catch him in the right frame of mind with his ruffled fur and the wary look in his eyes. You did a very nice job here - next time you do see him, tell him how good the photo really was!

Thank you for your generous review.
I'll tell him if I meet him ever again.

In some respects this looks like a bobcat instead of a house pet. I like what you have done with the background. I hope you got him to sign a release form, I don't think I would want to antagonize him. Donkeyoatey

Thank you for your great review.
You are right with the Bob Cat. I didn't realise of what he was reminding until you pointed it out. Thank you.
I think I have a release. I got a audible "Meow" and a paw print in sand captured in a photo.

a very interesting photograph and wonderful expression you captured.

i agree that blowing out the background is the best choice, doesn't distract from the facial expression.

well done

You did a great job at blowing the background out and I do love the look on his face. I think you took out some of his wiskers on the left side so the balance is off and he is just a little soft in focus. LOVE the expression tho

Thanks for your helpful review. You are absolute right with the whiskers. My eyes must have been tired: I didn't see it but I will fix it.
You are right with the soft focus. I was hoping it wouldn't hurt the picture since I got this 'look'. He was a little to fahr away and the timing wasn't right but I shoot anyway to get this face impression.

Charming Tabby cat looks like he needs a little grooming and love and attention. Made me miss my tabby that I lost last year. Nice spontaneous capture Cleo

    Thank you so much.
Yes you are right. I think he was looking for all of it. I would have take him home if I could have.

The bad background doesn't hurt this image at all cleo.. At first I thought it would diminish the overall character of the capture but upon viewing in full it is a good treatment. I do wish the main part of this cats face was a bit more focused but again it is not fully necessary for the type of photo presented. A good look at the" stranger"...lol...Dennis

You are right with the focus on the face. I was hoping it wouldn't hurt the picture. I wasn't close enough and the timing wasn't right but I wanted this look so I shoot.

I do love the photo of the cat. It tells a lot of this animals character- curious but suspicious, I like the sharpness of the eyes and the colors of the fur, but I think the background is a little too fuzzy. Kindly ME-Bild

Thank you for your kind review.
I fuzzed the background up in purpose. I know it isn't ideal. But as I wrote in my comments: the original background was much worse and much more distracting.

    Thank you so much.
Beside a "Meow" I got a paw print in sand captured in a photo. I hope that counts.
