This is an awsome portrait. It is full of story and character. The close hand reflects his strenght, there are many things in that face and certainly the pass of the life is there. As you said, it would be better if he would open the eyes.

I like this picture a lot, the subject is great and the focus and light are great. I do like the fact that it is black and white, it makes a very powerful statement.

LowRider, this is a great photograph. Perfect exposure and very sharp. Wonderful composition. And, certainly an incredibly interesting subject. That beard and face are amazing.
Peace, Papa

Interesting photograph. I greatly admire your skill at portrait shots, you captured a lot of personality and character from you subject. Also, the b/w further enhances the professional look and feel of this photo. Nice...

Lowrider again, another very nice shot. This man looks as though he has had a hard life, and lived to tell about it. black and white worked very nice for this photo, thanks for sharing

Very nice photo. I love the way you captured his beard blowing in the wind. I also like the fact that you filled up the frame with Willy. the background is not distracting at all. Choice of black and white is great.

Great picture. I think you definitely captured the character of a wise old man and not a town drunk. I am glad that you took the time to not only acknowledge this amazing individual but also talk with him. So many people today treat people like Wily like they were not even their. Bravo.

Thanks LowRider for sharing this story and photograph with us. This is a GREAT shot and even in B&W. B&W add a retro feel to the print.

This is a very emotional picture...Old men can be the best or worst subjects to photograph, and you have absolutely captured the best. He looks so sad, yet happy to be alive. Great job (and I like the B&W better...more dramatic).
