Clown in a supermarket

A beauty of a clown, cleo.

Love the complacent body pose that seems as if it could break into a song and dance routine and suddenly become some child's friend.

Nice expression on the face as if he's contemplating which person he's going to entertain next.

Wouldn't it be great if we had an army of clowns invading the city stores, supermarkets, streets, and subways. What a way to give jobs to people and what better good to be doing than in making people laugh.

I think you've just planted a seed - we need to start a Franchise and market Happy Clowns - no fee to join and no pay check - they have to live on their tips and make 99 people happy a day to stay employed.

Seriously - nice shot for the clown competition. Good luck!

I love both your thoughts. An army of clowns making people happy. That would be beautiful.
I like the Franchise Market of Happy Clowns even more. I wan't to be one of them! But I want make up my own working hours.
The shot could be more clear but I was fighting horrible light. That the beat I got.

Oh, forgot to mention. One of the perks of being employed is that you get to make your own personal schedule of happy hours when you're available.

It is interesting to read your descirption of this clown and his duties. What a job that must be! I can imagine he brings much joy to those around him.

I would like to see him without the grocery store background or in a portrait setting. I can imagine his eyes probably have much dramatic impact.

You have captured an image with great story telling impact.

Thank you so much for your kind review.
I'm sorry but it is the only presentable photo I have. It was the only time I meet Kikulino and spoke to him. He was at work in the store and not permitted to leave.
I couldn't get any good photos of him do to the bad light in the store were the use of flash is permitted. Sadly I loosed contact with Kikulino. Shortly after this photo was taken we had to leave for medical reason. My husband spend 8 months in a hospital fahr from home.

Good capture of the clown in the composition cleo85, but I find the focus is a bit off for this and the background is a bit of a deterrent in the composition. I love the colours of his costume though!

Thank you for your kind review. You are right with the focus. The whole picture is not sharp do to the extreme bad light in the area. It is in a supermarket were flashlight is permitted. Actually I was lucky to get the photo often the wont let you photograph inside the stores at all. But it was the only clown I got. They are hard to find here. The background is intentional. I didn't want to show a picture of a pretty clown but the person under the mask and the circumstances he works in.

Point well taken! I know how sticky these stores can be when it comes to a photo!

It is no doubt party time! Great pic. the colors are perfect. My son, when he was small, was deathly afraid of clowns in real life and on T.V. But then we had an open house at McDonalds and the real Ronald came to call. My son went right up to him and the clown picked him up and it was love at first site, true story. grassroots08
