Again, Low, you bring so much depth of character and charm to your photos with your tales of life and living. It just makes one sit back and smile with intrigue and fascination as you bring us into the experience with you. So much charisma, if you think about it that cold go unnoticed, unstirred or unappreciated if it weren't for your inquisitive self. The spirit of the depth of soul that beckons to be heard is evident in every piece. You are the spiritual guide of the living, compassionate and willing to really see the purity of the heart.

What a beautiful place, especially as you stir its spirited draw.

Lowrider, what a wonderful story. My imagination soared around that old barn with thoughts my own grandfather vivid in my mind. Maybe he was there, too. Thanks for taking me there. And congratulations on your seal. I am sure you deserve it.

Your friend,

Curt

I love the look of the old barn and the fresh snow. I can almost feel Shack's dad. Time has held well for this building.

I recall this barn from an earlier shot of yours.... nice to be able to go back to it in the winter and get another view. It is a lovely shot but I think too tightly cropped on the left and taken at a time when the bright sun and deep shadows detract slightly from the overall image.

Outstanding story; I think visiting this place could bring a happiness to the late father's spirit because you appreciate the look and character of the architecture. Great work, any chance for a silhouette shot; the flat land in the rear seems like it would render a magnificent opportunity for that- Orion008.

That is a wonderful idea Orion!! I don't venture much at that time of day because of obligations to family, but will certainly keep the opportunity in mind! Thank you Orion!!

Mystery and misery are two elements that are important in this photo. LowRider was there to capture a moment for us to reflect about the meaning of life and material things. Everything in this photo is excellent: contrast, color saturation, sharpness, etc. The only constructive comment I have is that maybe composition is a little tight. A little space may help to know better the context. Congratulations again!

This is a very strange looking building indeed.
Nice subject matter and I like the choice to shoot this in the snow.
I would have liked to have seen this shot a little later in the day or even in the light of the moon. With the reflection from the snow it would give the shot a blue and moody feel to it.
I would also have left more in the shot to the left.
The building looks pressed upto the edge a little too much and you lost the fence.
This would mean the loss of the white water tower but I think the sacrifice would be worth it.
Hope my comments are constructive and helpful : )

I think it's just plain great.

It's wonderful how you leave just enough background space so that we can place the image in a location, and the snow is gorgeously focused and shows much detail.

The story adds to the photo, but before I read your notes, somehow you were able to communicate the feeling without any words.
