nice job and a very difficult photograph to take, between the detail in the dark wood of the cabin and the whiteness of the snow - great job!

Thank you very much pwscanlon!! I really appreciate your time in reviewing my work, also, I believe I can learn from you as I do many on this site, so that being said I really would like to know your dislike of my work also, to me, what one dislikes is more important than what one likes to the author. Thank you again!! I appreciate your insight!!

Such a cool pic!!! I absolutely love old houses like that; they're so cool! :) The snow left on the top of the house, and on the ground add a nice touch to the photo as well.

yet another great capture of age and the wilderness. amazing how age makes buildings look so full of character.

I may have tried this at different perspectives. up higher or maybe down low from a corner ..

also how would this have looked in black and white? I think the bright snow takes away from the characterof the home.

thank you again for a wonderful image.

LowRider, this is a superior image. A great subject, sharp focus, a wonderful exposure that allows one to appreciate all the fine texture of those old beams, and substantial depth. A most inviting scene. Such a wonderful setting for that cabin, which, in my view, you have cropped just slightly too tightly. I am serious about the cropping. A composition here with more space available at both sides, or even one side of the cabin would make the image much more exciting to view.
Peace, Papa

Thank you Papa! Most of the time with these old places, you have to 'tight frame' because there is just too much crap around them, if I have room around them, I used it, but the crap is very unattractive and distracting.

A very crisp and sharp photo, I love the snow, it gives such contrast, ecspecailly having it on the roof and the ground, perfectly centered as always. I love the outdoors, and this is a great little cabin.

Very nice Cabin LowRider, details in logs are very good and the snow on the roof gave a nice contrast. Your technical homework was done excellent. I like it and find nothing to change.
Very good shot

So rustic and earthy looking, I love this one. Nice deep, rich colors and details diaplayed. I like the tight crop on the cabin. All attention is focused on it.
