Debbie, the focus, clarity, and colour of this old place is excellent. Still standing, after so many years, is a feat in itself. [cabin, not you :)] I know the walls hold many stories. So happy the buckshot was not a direct hit and you escaped to post this nostalgic photograph.

Again the color just does not seem to be 100% correct. You may be losing something in the upload or my glasses may be dirty or summin. If those four walls could talk, it would be very interesting.

Thank you gold!! Just don't know about the color thing, sometimes I upload and the pic is too dark, I redo, and it is lighter than on my monitor which is an LCD. I will figure it out sooner or later, ya reckon?

Another wonderful shot of ol' crap! You did a nice job with a difficult exposure. I like the intimate framing of the shot, it keeps the focus on the subject, with enough detail to give a feeling of area. You might try practicing cloning in photoshop to take out the power lines on the left side.

Thank you so much David!! Yep, I really need to find some time to invest in photoshop. Hubby bought me Photo Impact Pro, you know anything about that program? Seems more involved than Photoshop----

Very rustic. This cabin has surely been around awhile. I like the snow on the roof and the close-up so you can see the wear and tear on the cabin. I am glad you got more of the cabin and less of the surroundings.

Excellent capture... this old cabin is just full of character, the snow laying around it and on it really make the shot even more wonderful! Nice work!

This photo really gives one a feeling of truth in regards to the 1800's. A log cabin, small in stature and a rustic look. Age has certainly set in and it looks like fire marks on the front side of the cabin. What I like is the power lines that appear on the left side, which tells me of someone living in this cabin at one time not long ago, bringing together the old and the new. The photo is nicely centered and the colors are natural from the aging process of the cabin.
