tatumelanie, this is difficult to review. It looks more like an abstract painting than traditional, but, in any case, it holds no appeal for me. I think, however, that it evidences some imagination and creativity, and am suggesting three stars, to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Peace, Papa

Thank you, and yes, it is an abstract and that is what I should have put it down as. I want you to look at some more of my work when I get it on in the next couple of days and see if you like it. I vary in my work and have a very colorful abstract that I'll post next.

This is a wonderful and impactive piece. I like the limited use of color. The composition of the painting is perfect. It has balance. The figure looking away adds mystery to the piece. Well done.

I like the use of color in this piece, especially the flow. The viewer sort of swings across the surface, achieving a feeling of suspension in midair. Fluid orange tones on black are a nice feature. Overall nice, but it seems unfinished.

Thank you! You know you are right, It actually is sort of unfinished. I ran out of black oil pastel halfway through the background. I bought another one the next day, and when I sat down to finish it I decided that I liked it unfinished looking. I actually did go back in after this picture was taken and put some more black on the left side of the page, which left a kind of white "stripe" down the left side where the unfinished arm ends.
