This stirs the patriotism in me!
Do you know what this photo says to me? America....only in America can you find the flag flown high in a backyard, on every home, every business. We are a proud , undefeated, ass-kickin' people.
This photo captures that spirit, us "regular folk" that puts up our flag and fights hard in every generation for our freedom.

I like the subject matter. The shadows and low light gives it a feel of somberness, but I wish it hadn't been cropped so short. I would have liked to have the whole tree.

at first I was about to pass this one off. however, i took a breath and took it in for a while and decided to salute! this is a truly American photo. I think I reviewed a different one of you pieces and thought the same thing. you have a knack for capturing something that is truly American and by deduction it must be because you are a real American. As a Democrat who was in no way anti-war and is currently fed up with the "pansification" of America from the entertainment Industry... well.. anyways I like it. good shot!

This was an interesting shot. Simple, but still good. I liked the tree itself and how you captured the flag in front of it. While this was a nice shot, I think it could be better. It just doesn't suggest or demonstrate a patriotic 'feel' that should be felt in a photo like this, of own nations flag. I also think this should would have been better done a bit closer, still enough to include the upper-portions of the tree, but centering it more on the flag itself. Still a good shot...just my thoughts.
