Excellent expressive piece on one of the biggest threats to our global environment -- deforestation of our rain forests. It really is man's inhumanity to man.
You did a marvelous job of capturing your theme inside the light bulb. Many effects employed, including the tearing back of the forest to reveal the dastardly deed going on, unchecked, behind.
Excellent and creative use of the tools available in your virtual darkroom arsenal.
Best of luck in the competition. If I had to wager, I'd say it'll be "light out" for the competition!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and trouought review. The deforestation is one of the most bothersome to me. Probably because it is going on right beside us. These three pictures are taken at different times less than a mile from our village. Not only the Rainforest [Semi Rainforest here in the costal region] is detroit but some of the last Mangrove jungle at the Yucatan what is life threatening for our environment on land as the Big Mayan Reef [second largest barrier reef on earth]. The same environment the small nature reservation of Sian Kaan has. What is in the list of world heritage and under protection of United Nation. it seams soon Sian Kaan will be the last of it. All just to build another 4000 room "All Inclusive" tourist resort with Micky Mouse environment.

Thank you so much Deanne, These pictures are token at different times in the same area. A metaphor for the planet: past [the green Mangrove leaves], present [the burning of the jungle] and future [a lonely tree and a tractor, nothing else left]
