This is a great image it really conveys a meaningful story and a strong impact. I love the brilliant, and natural colors, and the great details, and textures. This is a amazing photograph. You really have a great eye, good work.

Thank you Gizelle!! I really appreciate the style in which you review, taking the time to really view the work and then coming to a conclusion.

Other than a blue sky my recent barn shoot had zero color. Sharp and good tree/barn balance. For you here is my optional 10 point thing!
Please allow me to express views on a 10 point scale. ::
I see the initial impact as-9 , lighting as-9 , overall composition as-10 , color harmony as-10, center of interest as-9 , technical excellence as-9 , self expression as-9 , and distinctive presentation as-8 .

Thank you ben!! I really like it when you break it all down in numbers like that because it allows me to view the work as you are seeing it, through your eyes, with your thoughts. I just enjoy looking at my work with other's thoughts in mind, widens my 'verizon' so to speak. Many thanks again!

I agree with both the title and your comment about the picture. It does seem to have that abandoned and forlorned feeling surrounding it in the middle of no where. But again, the fact that it still stands against the weather and its obvious desertion show strength and somewhat determination to face all odds and still survive to see another day. Funny the effect such inanimate object can have on a photograph. The lighting is good and the barn's colorings stand out against the other colors and contrast well.

On a scale of 1-10
Initial impact: 10
Creativity of presentation: 10
Color Harmony: 10
Center of Interest: 10
Technical Excellence: 9
Technique: 10
Story Telling Ability: 10
Lighting: 10

Lowrider - is the side view to Bridge of Madison County? Because all I can imagine on the other end is some lonely woman! Great picture - great job and keep it up!

What's the streak in the photo above the barn? I see that your focus was set for the distance shot or maybe an extra time frame, I was first looking for the foreground to be sharper, but I'm seeing things better now.

Creativity of presentation 3
Color Harmony 4
Center of Interest 3
Technical Excellence 4

I really like this image. It is so simple and to a Scot, somehow so American! There are slightly unusual contrasts going on here, nature vs man-made, red vs blue, but I think that is why it works.

You are exactly right- the barn in the pic adds so much personality to it's surroundings. The beautiful vibrant red adds so much character. Nice framework & composition-great job!

Yet another wonderful photo. This reminds me of the barn outstation of my great Uncle Judas House. I would never go in it because it was always dark and the pigs by the front door would always scare me. But this is a very nice shot...brings back memories. Wonderful job.

Thank you photokid!! Sounds like scary memories! My brother and I used to ride my Uncles pigs and see who could stay on the longest, first to hit the ground had to 'slop' the pigs. In my days that meant feed them their slop!

I love old barns. This is very pretty. The contrast between the red of the barn and that light blue sky is very striking. The trees add even more contrast against the sky.
