Is it just me or is this spider yellow? Its a good picture, hiding in the juniper berrys, well done, would be good if you could get a close up of the spider

Yellowy green I would say but its subjective, the spider is much easier to see in the photo than he was in real life. I ll take a look to see if hes still there tonight and try out your suggestion. Thanks.

This is a very interesting photo, I found the spider right away, the top of it looks like a happy face. :) The focus seems very good and the exposure is wonderful. The color has turned out excellent on this photo although myself I would crop away some of the clear buds without the spider web and just keep a little for contrast. Excellent job :)

Madfrank, where is the spider? Is it that yellowish thing? I can detect, I think, bits of a spider web, but just barely. Perhaps this is because the image is overexposed. And, otherwise, this appears to me to be a quite ordinary photograph of the conifer buds.
Peace, Papa

It is the lighter green small spider in the lower right hand part of the image. The web can be clearly seen in the full size version but optimised to 50K and 600 big takes it toll on the details and I feel this picture is all about the details.

Thanks for the comments.

It took me a moment to catch the spider, and I really like the way you actually have to look at the picture to find the image, not the center. The green combined makes the entire thing a visual maze. (I really like the hidden surprises in art that aren't visible at first glance) Nice :)

Thanks for your comments, you seem to have got what I was aiming for with this pic. Whoo hoo!

This was fun...venturing to find the spinder in this textured array in blues and greens of this conifer. Hints of the webbing draws clarity of detail into the left bottom frame of the shot against the blurred hues. This really brings nature right to your viewer's senses to experience. This would be a great shot for a children's magazine...like Highlights, Ranger Rick or one of their other branch offs of nature inspired prints.

Thanks a lot, this is my first non compo posting and I only got the camera 2 days ago so you've really given me some confidence. I did more nature close ups like this that I may post another day.

I totally missed he object of this picture. Where is the spider? Perhaps taking the picture focusing on the spider might provide some interesting subject. As it is posted I do not see the point.

I thought that might make it too easy. Now im wondering if its too hard, but its about the buds too, I think they look lovely and crinkly.

Thankfully I don't see the spider as I really don't like them, although I do like this shot very much. It is a bit blurry on the left side. .was that intentional? And by the way, what are Conifer Buds? Nice shot.

Conifers are Fir Type trees that are common in the UK. The spider is on the left and the focus is on him which is why the buds are blurred.
