What beautiful hues, effects of lighting, reflective casts that really make this glisten, the sunrise awe inspiring. I really like the cornered silouhetting of the dune with the detailing of plant life to contrast against the sky. Must have been quite the site, and worth waking so early.
What's really distracting to my eye, however, is the mostly blurred, softening technique that contsitutes most of the ocean and sky, taking away from the movement of the piece, the depth and dimension that brings it alive. My eye misses the detailing of the surf's foam that's moving onto the sands as well as the rest of the beautiful detail you captured. Far away, it's gorgeous. Close-up, it appears texturized with an almost paint like quality.
The red/orange lit reflection of the sun caught between the sands and ebbing tide is incredible.

very nice picture. the colors are great. i like the way the clouds coming from the sun to the hill top. i wonder if a slightly longer exposure would give just a liitle more detail to the foreground?

Thanks for the feed back. You are correct about the longer exposure however the sky lost a lot of its coloring .

Very well done. I Like this a lot. Sun, sea, foaming surf and still a reflection on the wet sand, capped off and framed by the offset grass topped silhouetted dune. The horizon (flat water) is minutely canted down wards to the right, but unnoticeable to the untrained eye.
Congrats.

Beautifully scenic and peaceful. You are a lucky man to be living so close to the shore. I would have to leave yesterday and still wouldn't have made it. Great picture I hope to see more.

Sunrise over the ocean is a very beautiful time to be there. You have captured the moment in color and in shadow. Though I would bring out the colors of the morning sky a bit more. You have done an excellent job of capturing a very romantic time. Nice job
