Welcoming log cabin

A simple, rustic photo but has a charm, maybe the flower pot about, or the picnic table when able to use again. Or, maybe, that wonderful glider on the porch to inhale all the brisk air; very nice!

Then no need to ask permission, because it appears that you have caught the best angle possible with this shot. Looks like a very cozy place to hide out from the cold winter; and work on upcoming fanart material. I love the dark look of the wood of the cabin, with the fine lay of the snow, and hanging icicles. Great eye- Orion008.

Debbie, this log cabin is so inviting. Like the angle...makes one feel they could sit out on the porch and see for miles. The snow and icicles adds to the beauty. I see windows for shooting intruders in front and side :) However, has such a warm inviting appearance. Hope you had some hot chocolate after out in this cold :)

Excellent job on this. I love the angle. The framing is good (wish the top wasnt cut quite so close but it isn't a deal breaker with me). Great work.

I was starting to miss your cabins. They inspire so much warmth. I like the capture of the snow on the picnic table and atop the cabin.

This is a delightful photograph. The cabin looks like a wonderful place to go and just hang out in. The view must be spectacular. The cast shadows from the logs really adds dimension. Very well done

Awesome LowRider. I am Studying your work. I am seeing what you mean when you talk about the DOF. You pick your subject and your photographs come to life. I am learning. Thank you.

What a wonderful compliment to me tjmcc, I am most humbled!! Thank you so very much!! Rule of thumb, I have learned, blur the background if not complimenting to your subject by using a shallow (large number) Depth of Focus, If background is flattering to your subject and you want to include it, use a larger DOF (smaller number) to bring it into focus along with your subject. Is a bit confusing--------------I think you do a wonderful job with your photography!

The lighting, angle and focus are all perfect. It lacks some DOF though, and I think a slightly larger frame, allowing a tiny bit of sky at the top and a bit more hill at the bottom would greatly help with that. Great subject choice!
