Nice photograph and story. The composition is good but the lighting is a bit off and you lose some of the detail in the front of the house. Still it's a nice photo.

I love the story and I love the photo. I like how panel in the windows look as if windows are lit. I also liked the contrast of bright white snow and dark, aged wood of the house! Thank you!

lmao.......i love your choice of objects to photograph, and your stories are a treat too. This is a nice clear photo. The contrast of black house and white snow makes it stand out.I would like to see a photo of this on a day when the sky was deeper blue, but still a good photo......:)

What an great shot this is LowRider, your ability to bring out the beauty and amazing colors and textures that echo and moods that are captured by your photos are amazing. What I love the most is the wonderful and powerful contrasts of color and textures the clearness of focus. The dark aged wood of the house and outhouse with it's white frames echoed by the snow. The composition is perfect it's nearly like this is a forgotten cabin in winter while the rest of the world is in summer, with the green trees of the back ground. The lighting is just right. Awesome work to view and love the stories behind them. You should write a book with your work and stories, the are such a joy to view and review. Thank you for sharing.

I love the shot and the images it creates in my mind, and i love the story, I can just picture you cowering from this little old woman and her flyswat.
I reckon that what i really like most about your pictures, they pull me in , and i feel i can appreciate the landscape for miles around! hope that makes sense! i know what i mean.

We thought we had reviewed this, but apparently not. Actually we are rolling on our backs laughing while we try to consider how you really felt facing that swatter with an upset lady being attached to it. Meanwhile when we pace through Ostfriesland (northern Germany) on our spare sundays we look at old farmhouses and tools laying around in the fields considering "How would these look on a LowRider-photo?".
The lighting is good! Composition is good. We like it so why not award it * * * * * ?

LOL!! Ya know, Cal, I really just couldn't think--too scared, just thought I would give her something to aim at---as angry as she seemed, figured no chance to out run her!! Thank you so very much for such a wonderful and fun review!!

I'm not sure which I like more...the picture or the story that came with it. Thanks for the good laugh. I love this shot. It makes me think of the solitude that we all so desperately need on occasions. Persistence pays off !! Just an idea...but this would look smashing in black and white.... Great job!!
