This is really nice Cleo. I love the intent look of him, off on an adventure, exploring and learning something about the world around him. Your treatment is very nice not just the impressionism, but the color tones, it makes this look very old and interesting :) Good luck in the contest.

Nice soft touch of painting Good colors like the shore and the dog but a little bit of blue could be beneficial in the sky area
base for a good story too

Thank you for your generous review. I'm sorry I don't agree about the blue more than the touch in the right upper corner I already have. It' would exit the color range I decided on, going against the wanted impressionistic and aged look I tryed for as also against the situation shown, the weather condition of an very cloudy and foggy morning.

Thank you a lot for your generous review. These spots come in with the filters I applied to the photo. The are similar to what I have seen on some aged impressionistic paintings. A tryed for that look since the contest's call was art made with mixed media from a photo. After so many contest calls involving water I want also something unusual and in a style I haven't post jet. I prefer to paint by myself but that would have been against the rules.
