Not just a rose: it's a tightly furled one, only just born, still rigid. I like the compostion of the other inter-twining stems. Together with the flower they make a satisfying formal shape.

There's some delicate shading, especially at the top of the petals and at their base.

Nice drawing, Sarastar. I'll look out for more of your work.

I'd have given this 4 stars were it not for the large red "S" - it really is distracting.

the "s" isn't part of the actual artwork, it was put there on the computer and I can't figure out how to get it off. But other than that, thanks os much for your review.

Except for the rose petals being almost too perfect this drawing is good. I guess I always like to see the inconsistencies created in nature.

I don't quite understand this piece. What is up with the red "S" in the top corner of your drawing? If that letter is your signature, you should refrain from putting into the drawing because it is a distraction. Also, the picture seems a little dirty...you should probably invest more time with an eraser and mark clearer edges (and lines) or you should take it into a computer program and work on it from there. As this piece stands, it looks no better than a sketch.

What a lovely drawing, the shading and softness is so simple and sound. I think the cut off line made this just a teeny bit off for me, but otherwise I think it lovely. A quick crop would repair that abrupt and unsightly end to the bloom and vines, leaving only the minimalist form to soak up and enjoy. This is good work:)

The dark shading on the top of the rose is what really shines, very well crafted and realistic swirls and shading. The leaves are nicely darker and out of focus, making sure that all eyes remain on the rose. Excellent...

This is an interesting and well done work for beein just a rose. I like the fact that it is in neutral color.It does add some dramatic effect to it.I think that your sig. distract the eye a bit.

I guess it really depends on what you were going for. The rose that you created is very stiff and actually looks like a wooden flower instead of something right from a garden. I think if the flower was a bit more "flowy" and soft the overall image would be great. You definitely have the talent, and I would love to see this updated.
