Thank you so much Robin. That new little program is really a treasure. Better than some of the expensive ones. I chose the kind of canvas I want to paint on and the kind of paint before I start Even the tools are similar to painting tools. You are right. Its oil paint in this one. I used mostly the knife for the painting.

Perhaps, I did canvas paintings [incl.oil] when my eyes were better, Now my arms get shorter, I can't reach a bigger canvas when I clearly see all of it anymore. But I still paint small pictures an canvas and paper. It's just not effective at the moment. We still have to fly Texas for my husband's medical treatment were I cant take the real thing. I painted this one in Texas.

I really like the thick paint effect you managed to get on this, definitely adds to the piece. I also like the simplicity of the compositon, the deckchair, umbrella and book just say it all. nice, straight forward work with a great texture.

Thank you for your generous review. The boat is meant to be seen this way. Its fahr away in the haze of the horizon. It is just there to give a diagonal view point for the chair, add a little waight and break the horizon for composition purpose but it is not important for the storyline. I think it actually won't hurt the story if the boat is overclocked.

A very nice portrayal of a beach scene in a nice choice of colors. I like the pastel blues of the sky and water. The bright yellow of the umbrella provides a nice contrast alone on the beach. The boat looks alone on the water. Impact, creativity and presentation are very good. Good luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing.
