This is really gorgeous Shawn and I'm not even that fond of any type of nautical work.I love the amount of softness this painting has and the rainbow makes it perfect,as well as the framing. However,I have to find something about doing art with dingbats/fonts as it is driving me crazy. There has to be a tut or something.
Love this one also!

Did you put the rainbow in?
Nice concept but more ghostly than dreamlike. Perhaps it is the colours you chose, not sure, could even be the choice of the boat - can't put my finger on it. I love the frame though and the reversal of colours.

I love your dream boat. The composition is strong and simple, giving the dream more substance. I like the frame within the frame, and the color adds to the dreamy state. For me,I feel that the rainbow does not add to the piece as a whole, but it doesn't totally distract either, so that is a personal choice

I really like this, the bold blue contrasts nicely with the softness of the clouds and the rainbow is not overdone and really allows the viewer to think about the story. Very well done.

So that is where the Flying Dutchman is! I think this would make the most amazing Father's day card! I love the little peek of rainbow on the right. Donkeyoatey

LOL! There could be a lot of ghost ships up there floating around :) Thank you so much again, Donkeyoatey! I really appreciate the great review. I have been so busy, I think this is my first smile of the day. Feels kinda good. :))

Nice picture that shows very considerable imagination and a definite eye for transferring thoughts onto paper. It is a dream and I would imagine a very nice one at that. Well done you.

Splendid composition! Seems like a ghost boat from the Bermuda Triangle, coming back in time ; this phantomatic blue contributes to the strange sensation; I also like the rainbow, discretely sketched and all these misty clouds increase the mystery. It's a great achievement to make such a composition from almost one color.
