I still think it was a cool idea to take your photo hanging from the big ole mushroom rock. Maybe next time! This is a plum pretty landscape photo with the close rock and far horizon. How do I pronounce Shiitake;)

Shee-tah-kee -- that's how I pronounce it anyway, then again hubby says I have a dictionary all of my own! My brother pronounces it Shit-take! Guess us country folk have trouble with city words-- Thank you very much ben!!

This is very cool! It looks like a scene out of Lord of the Rings. I like how you used the trees to give it perspective. Nice bright colors and even lighting. Interesting shot.

Awesome scenery. This photo has such depth...can see beyond "forever." The focus and clarity of mushroom rocks is fantastic. Glad you did not use tripod, run and jump...you would have over shot the rocks and looks like a LONG way down that hill :) Also, telling such story of being too old will make your nose grow...then you will have to ride a broom and give up the hog...balance, you know :):)

This is a cool shot Low, all the tech stuff is there. I know what you mean about the old thing I'm not near as fast on my feet as I used to be. BTW did you ever try the shiitake in a creamed sherry sauce over a nice thick NY strip, quite the good eating trip. Nice job!!!!

Thank you Clyde!! YES!! Great eating!! Also just sauteed with carmalized onions in butter with a touch of Sherry over a garlic seasoned rib eye! Been critiquing my own personal cookbook for about 25 years.

Excellent photo! Got a giggle just imaging you running back and forth to shoot this! Wonderful color, detail, and cropping. The setting is wonderful because of the depth of field of your shot. The saturation is perfect. The wonderful pines are so beautiful and really add so much to the overall composition. Congrats!

These are cool rock formations. The trees on the right are average. The attempt outstanding. Personally, I would have cropped to the rocks. There is some very interesting shape there. I has been awhile since water has been that high? Another great nature shot.

Thank you Bob!! I have heard it said that the whole state of Colorado was initially under water, haven't researched it.

Does look like mushrooms to me better not eat them. Nice landscape image with good coloration, composition, appealing interest. Only thing I thought was that the background could be straighten more but no big deal.

I was thinking the rocks looked like mushrooms, the second I layed eyes upon this. Still hoping that you got a closer view of the inner walls of them mushrooms there. I like the look of the fields in the background, but don't agree with the lack of sharpness-due to the old "upload monster". Great look here-Orion008.
