its a great shot, , but what intrigues me is whats in the back ground seems like some one, or could that be a wall, whatever the dark background does show of the flower well,

Wish you'd have gotten a bit more of the back of the flower with it's interesting design. Great clarity, maybe a different angle if it is still in bloom?

emiliemp, this is good. Just a tad under exposed, I would say, and somewhat out of focus. Also, I think it would be a much stronger image had you cropped to be rid of the lighter space at the viewer's top-left corner. Nevertheless, it is a fine effort.

Very nice! Good focus and color combinations. The portrait type settings really make the flower stand out and soften the image up. Its very pleasing to the eye to look at.
