Great story on this. The rays of the sun are cool, however its too bright and more distracting than artisitic. I think cropping this would be more central to the title and less cluttered.

This is an excellent photograph. The sunlight bursting through the sign is quite awesome. This is a great entry for the contest and I sincerely wish you all the best too.

This slightly quirky but also rather moving in its way. The silhouette effect is very effective and gives the picture real meaning. Sentimental it may be but why not.

I guess that even cowboys pray. That's a good thing. Love the shlioueteed sign. The lampost gives just enough light framing it on the right. Like the angle you took. Center of interest is great, lighting, storyelling and a great presentation to view. slblevins:)

I really like how you have been able to shoot this photo. The look is awesome with the silhouette you have created. Wonderful image that is composed well.

A very nice image paying tribute to someone who has passed away. I like the way you captured this scene with back lighting that allows the details in the metal work to show.

Thanks for sharing.

A first class combination of Lighting , Focus , and Dark / Light contrast make for a pleasing overall composition here , its a good subject , and all the technical's look sound , Well taken Cleo , Trev

Clever use of a pre-existing silhouette. It might look a little better if the sun was at a lower angle and hidden below the cowboy's knees.

This is a ggeorgous piece of work Cleo &so well spotted by your eye as always.~

if I may make a suggestion i would crop on the red line as all clarity is lost on the lamp as its so bright an just makes an over exposed area thats distracting and way too bright to complement the subtle quality of the rest of the image.~
And its surenity of expressive feeling of even cowboys have faith.~
sorry to be critical..on the small point but as a contest entry it may hold you back.~
Thanks Jinni..~
