Predictable perspective. Try taking the photo from another perspective to add interest. Move to where there is more light on the subject. Try getting in a position where the batters eye and the ball are closer together. Put the batters eyes or the ball as the focal point of the photo, preferably both. Keep shooting until the batter contacts the ball with the bat in your shot.

Terrific action shot. Had you included her legs I think it would have made an excellent one. Difficult capture and timing to get just the same.
