The expression is a good attempt. The light color in the center is distracting without it being carried throughout the work. The details are a little fuzzy. Keep working at it!

From a distance, the red hues draw you in, but it stops there. The focal point is the rear end of a buffalo, not the most pleasing thing to focus on. It does give the viewer the vague sense of being in the moment with the herder, but then it falls flat. There is nothing to really compel the viewer to keep looking, except for the horns on the far left animal. Perhaps something distant in the background would be nice like three trees of varying heights or just the hint of a hill or mountain or steam or fence. Perhaps adding a hint of dust rising from the hooves of the animals would create a sense of movement to keep the viewer interested. Hope this helps.

This is a beautiful picture. I love the detail and the eerie format that you used. You can almost get a sense of remingtons works here. Nice job keep it up
