That is a lovely watercolour. Like the unusual, but very effective flowers, but am more fascinated by the vase. Somehow, to me, it looks as if the base is strange, and it wouldn't stand up. Can't put my finger on it though. Best wishes.

The Vase was bought for me by my sister. It actually does stand up, but I agree, when I received it thought it looked so unbalanced I thought it would break somehow.

Very nice watercolor, Judelsg. The lines of your lillies have the appearance of stained glass...a nice touch to show their fagility. The vase is crafted nicely with its cracked glass look and subtle shading to enhance dimension. Vice nice shades to provide balance and draw the eye. Nice work.

I really like the flowers here and the nice light colored background. But the vase looks like it could use a little more work and it lacks any definate shadows.

Unfortuanetly, my digital camera spoils the subtle shadows that are on the picture. I must invest in a better camera. Thank you

It looks like a nice composition. But, You need to past a larger picture to give us a good lookf at it.
At this size the vase doesn't have a three dimensional look to it. Let me know if you put up a bigger pic.

Thank you Aggie. Watercolour is my favourite meduim to paint precise work with. With watercolour, once the paint is on the paper it stays and to try and edit it after that just spoils the painting. I like this finality of it and seem to paint better for it.
