Well, I love the colors of the rose!
I am not so sure how I like the white background on the right as it does not show the flower off in that area as well as it odes against the darker, green leafs.
Overall, nice post. Good luck in the contest!!

It's really not white at all but a soft gray, I thought it enhanced the feeling of depth and help bring the rose to the foreground. thank you for your time and then your comments in the review.

the heavy left hand side of the photo, are you saying the off whitw or the green? I thought the difference in clors in teh background added depth... anyway thank you for the time and the comments in the review, I appreciated all the time you spent to write it and look at the photo.

The rose is beautiful. Its colors and contrast are excellent, and the detail is lovely. I find the background distracting withm its sharp change of color between dark and bright.

Its a beautiful rose no doubt and the focus is there, however the lighting needs to be kicked up in my opinion. The composition is okay but the right side is distracting from your pretty rose shot.

you are not liking the off white in the background on the right? I thought it looked good and to me was controlled, not a glaring overpowering white spot, to me it worked. thank you for your comments.
